Little Gems

Happy New Year!

So far on this site, I’ve showcased some of my all-time favorite projects. The big, flashy ones. But realistically, not every client needs a big, flashy project.

I’ve designed countless flyers, folders, invitations, postcards, ads, forms, banners, presentation backgrounds, and, of course, the workhorse: the tri-fold brochure. If it has to look good, I’ve done it. Many of these projects are completed on a quick schedule and a low production budget — but not at the sake of quality design.

I’ll work on posting these gems. Stay tuned for updates!

Got icons?

I just discovered Silk Icons, a free icon set by famfamfam, with more than 700 16-by-16 pixel icons. Great for using in any web project.

Thanks to Ted for the tip.

Grand Re-Opening

I’m 100% freelance as of today!

I’ve freelanced since 2003, and this month I have finally taken the leap to be a solo designer. I’ll refrain from using 15 exclamation points in a row, but really, how else could I convey my excitement? I’m already working with clients I’d never dreamed of working with.

Today I’m publicly launching my redesigned web site, where you’ll get updates of my latest work, plus thoughts and tips about design, marketing, technology, and more. Subscribe to my RSS feed to stay tuned.

Also, I’d love to hear from you. Want to hire me? Wish me luck? Critique my work? Point out a broken link on this site? Make a comment below, or e-mail me at hello AT amy warren creative DOT com.

Cheers.
