A story describing the overhaul of Interstate 635 (known as “LBJ”) featured the information graphic about managed lanes that I designed for the Texas Department of Transportation.

My original graphic was in this brochure for TxDOT. The newspaper modified the colors and ran it on the front page under the sub-headline “How managed toll lanes work.”

The New LBJ http://amywarrencreative.com/awc/archives/66 http://amywarrencreative.com/awc/archives/66#comments Fri, 15 Aug 2008 22:27:27 +0000 amy http://amywarrencreative.com/awc/archives/66

The New LBJ is an expansion of Interstate 635 around Dallas, Texas, described as “the most regionally significant transportation improvement project in North Texas.”

I designed a visual package for the introduction of The New LBJ to Dallas-area residents, city councils, commercial land owners, and media.

The project was designed for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). I served as a design subcontractor for the communications team of the Texas Transportation Institute. With only a month before rollout, I assisted the team by designing a brochure, maps, PowerPoint backgrounds, and a logo.

My role: Creative direction, design, layout

Others provided: Photography, design, writing, project management

See also the LBJ Mobility Project website.

Little Gems http://amywarrencreative.com/awc/archives/29 http://amywarrencreative.com/awc/archives/29#comments Tue, 01 Jan 2008 03:05:07 +0000 amy http://amywarrencreative.com/awc/archives/29 Happy New Year!

So far on this site, I’ve showcased some of my all-time favorite projects. The big, flashy ones. But realistically, not every client needs a big, flashy project.

I’ve designed countless flyers, folders, invitations, postcards, ads, forms, banners, presentation backgrounds, and, of course, the workhorse: the tri-fold brochure. If it has to look good, I’ve done it. Many of these projects are completed on a quick schedule and a low production budget — but not at the sake of quality design.

I’ll work on posting these gems. Stay tuned for updates!

Great for using in any web project.
